In 2015 the Franklins heard Tony Franks on Seminole Hwy was available. These two local bar owning legends jumped at the opportunity to purchase the tavern. After some improvements to the kitchen and other cosmetic touches, The Badger Tavern was born. 

After 8 successful years and owning several other food and beverage establishments, Mike and Mark wanted to step back a bit, and potentially sell the place. However, they were not going to sell it to just anyone. 

The Franklins wanted someone that would carry on the iconic place and its tradition of being a “Neighborhood Place for Everyone.” The only change would be the new owners, and that became the Carlsons. 

Clay Carlson had a life-long dream of owning a place just like “The Badger.” Great food, great cocktails, and a place to come as you are.
